Chef Tyler Michaux is an experienced and passionate bread baker and pastry chef, inspired from a young age by his mother’s love of baking. Tyler was formally trained at Johnson and Wales University where he received a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. After college, Tyler studied in Chile under a master bread baker in Osorno. It is there that Tyler discovered his passion for old world baking traditions. Upon his return to the states, Tyler honed his bread baking craft and gained extensive experience at Seven Stars Bakery in Providence, Rhode Island. Tyler continually experiments with new and innovative ways to push the culinary norms to create unique and delicious products. His creative edge and contemporary style sets his baking apart. Tyler has teamed up with his partner Hailey to create their own brand at Bird and Bear Bakehouse and is excited to breathe new life into the old world baking traditions for his clients. Tyler can’t wait to discuss your next special event with you so he can take a dessert idea from a vague concept to scrumptious reality! 

Chef Hailey Budoff is a graduate of the Johnson and Whales University, where she graduated with dual bachelor degrees in both Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking Arts. Hailey also studied at the prestigious Alain Ducasse Culinary School in Paris, France. She honed her skills working for several well known chefs in high-end restaurants from New York City, Bridgehampton, Paris to San Diego. Her love of baking started at a young age while helping her Mom and Grandma Bella in the family kitchen. She would always answer the question, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" with a definitive, "I want to be a cookie maker !" Fast forward to today, where Hailey's childhood dreams have become reality. Hailey has a creative eye with an unparalleled attention to detail. Her hard work ethic and commitment to excellence coupled with her classical training, culinary skills and her desire to make everything she does magical, will undoubtedly please you. Hailey is ready to customize beautiful and delicious desserts for your next celebration!
